Greenhouse Project

The Master Gardeners who enhance and maintain the Education Garden at Greenbank Farm had long dreamed of acquiring and installing a greenhouse at the gardens.
In early 2019, a team of interns formed to investigate options. By summer of 2019, they presented a comprehensive report to the Steering Committee and the membership.
In late June of 2019, a greenhouse was purchased and installed.
Classes are taught in the greenhouse and plants propagated for the plant sale and the gardens.
We are grateful to the donors who made the Greenhouse Project possible! Thank you to Whidbey Island Garden Tour and Ellen A'Key Foundation for their generous grants. Thank you to our local businesses for their donation of materials for the installation: Oak Harbor Home Depot, Maillard's Landing Nursery, and All-Whidbey Topsoil.
